What is the Order about?

The Eclectic Order of the Light, is a modern brotherhood that unites people from different backgrounds, who share the same mission: becoming a better person for yourself and your community, and to get closer to the truth, through philosophical examination, and meaningful experiences. The Order is comprised by local groups (denominated as Houses) of members, all of which progress through different steps in their journey towards achieving clarity, each advancement being marked by a ceremony.

During the meetings of each House of the Order, initiation and advancement ceremonies will take place when in order, philosophical discussions about specific topics concerning the community the House is part of, discussions about the philosophical teachings of the Order and it's practical applications, and discussions about the organization and charitable actions of the House.

What are the teachings of the Eclectic Order of the Light?

The teachings of the Order are formed by a sum of influences from different schools of though, both ancient and modern, that are escential tools in the way towards a better moral compass, and a more critical lense to understand the world around us in a pure manner.

The teachings of the Order are not presented as the truth, but rather as tools that allow us to become the perfect recipients for the truth to sit in. This tools are taught through the symbolic ceremonies, philosophical discussions, and charitable action, all of which takes place during the 1 every two-weeks House meeting.
